THE WALL THAT HEALS

Come join us at the Jefferson International Airport in Port Townsend (195 Airport Road) from 2 – 3:15 PM on Friday, September 12. The Wall That Heals exhibit includes a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a Mobile Education Center. The traveling exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War, and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. There is no charge for visiting the Memorial Wall.
After our visit, members who have signed up for the September Dining Around Event can drive to the Enchanted Castle for an early dinner at 3:30. The Enchanted Castle is about a ten minute drive from the airport. Directions for both are below.

Directions to Jefferson International Airport: Take 101 East from either Sequim (total time: 35 minutes) or Port Angeles (total time: 58 minutes) to WA-20 East (Port Townsend), turn left. Drive about 8 miles to the traffic light, turn right onto WA-19 South. Drive about 1 mile to Airport Road and turn right. The exhibit should be visible from the road, and there is ample parking.
Directions from Jefferson International Airport to the Enchanted Castle: Take Airport Road to WA-19 South. Turn left. Go straight at the light where WA-19 becomes WA-20. Stay on WA-20 which will become W Sims Way. Turn left on Sheridan St, then right on 7th St and right on Cleveland St. The Enchanted Castle is immediately visible with plenty of parking.
