Members are able to order exactly what they want from the many items on the Big Elk Breakfast or Lunch\/Dinner menu and pay the restaurant directly. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced, with almost all selections $18 and under. The Big Elk staff handle our more than 30 attendees in a timely fashion, and their meeting room is well suited for our club\u2019s needs. There is plenty of parking available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9f1d5a081aaeddd363cc7e0124a5a797\"><strong>Beer and wine are available<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/olympicnewcomers.org\/news\/may-2-registration-form\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4721\">Reserve Here<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food Banks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing this month, there will be two food donation boxes present for donations (food and cash) to the Sequim Food Bank and Port Angeles Food Bank.&nbsp;The most important food items needed throughout the year are canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans, stews), fruits (canned, dried, applesauce), canned veggies, peanut butter, pasta, cereal, hygiene items (diapers, wipes, soap), and pet food. We have collected&nbsp;275 pounds of food and $232 thus far. She is the Clallam County District #3 Commissioner.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phyllis served for 16 years (2003 through 2019) on the Board of Directors for Southwest Power Pool Inc. She has national-level governance experience on issues concerning the electric power grid, including: markets, compliance with FERC and NERC standards, security and cyber-security, and integrating renewables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As outside legal counsel to national trade associations, she has experience in the legislative process, including rule-making, public comment, negotiations with administrative agencies, and litigation, as well as a high-level understanding of the regulatory context for water and sewer issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As if that weren\u2019t enough, Phyllis is an experienced administrative appellate judge at the federal and state levels, and a Fellow of the National Association of Administrative Law Judges. She is a professional mediator and arbitrator at state, national and international levels, participating in developing alternative dispute resolution processes used by federal agencies and Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Independent System Operators (ISOs) across the nation. She has experience in con?ict prevention and resolution work in Africa for the U.S. State Department as well as in Oklahoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phyllis plans to talk to us on the topic of finding and building community.
