The Annual Picnic is a great day for all of us to get together!  The club will be barbecuing hotdogs, hamburgers, and salmon burgers and providing all the trimmings for them: buns, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and relish. The club will also provide water and ice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring your own chairs, any preferred non-alcoholic beverages, m and a dish to share (side dishes, salads, chips, raw veggies dips, desserts, etc.) plus a serving utensil. NOTE:  Alcohol is NOT allowed in the park. Leashed pets are allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cost is $10 per person<\/strong>. Reserve your spot by clicking the RSVP below.<\/span>. Order your barbecued items when you place your reservations. Please RSVP prior to July 29, 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This event is open to all current Newcomers\u2019 Club members. Member dues for the current year (June 2025-May 2026) must be paid either before or upon arrival at the Picnic. Application forms are available on our website on the Welcome Page and will also be available at the Picnic. <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/span><\/div>\n
Corn Hole and Bocce Ball games will be provided. You are welcome to bring other games to share. Horseshoe pits are available. Enjoy a scenic walk through the trees on flat terrain along the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Tongue Point. You might see whales!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/b>Parking is available next to the Picnic Pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directions to Salt Creek Recreation Area:<\/strong> Go west on Highway 101 to Highway 112. Continue west on Highway 112 to Camp Hayden Road. Turn right and follow Camp Hayden Road to the Picnic Pavilion. There are RV and Tent camping facilities on site. We will be at the Picnic Pavilion.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Salt Creek Recreation Area County Park has National Park aesthetics, with County Park amenities. The 196-acre park includes upland forests, rocky bluffs, rocky tide pools, sand beach, Salt Creek access, campsites, and panoramic views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Crescent Bay, and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Salt Creek is a regional park that draws visitors from all areas of the northwest and is another one of Clallam County\u2019s premier parks. Many colleges and schools from all over the United States visit the Park to study and observe the marine life.<\/span><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Limited camping and RV sites are available. Every year some Newcomers\u2019 Club members add an overnight stay at the time of the Picnic. Reservations for sites must be made through the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
